Jewellery specialises in custom made fine jewellery with studios/workshops
located in Sydney’s Strand Arcade and Melbourne’s GPO.
Since establishing the business 8 years ago we have built a team of 22
jewellers and other professionals across Sydney and Melbourne, and we are still
growing strongly. Due to the growing size of our team, we have decided to
create a new role for an Assistant Manager.
The role involves assisting our Manager with a variety of day-to-day
responsibilities as well as being the person managing the studio and workshop
when our Manager is on leave. The role will also involve working on the bench
as well as designing custom made pieces with customers, and will appeal to a
jeweller who enjoys dealing with people and working in a dynamic team
environment.
As a growing business with plans to open up additional studios/workshops, there
will be opportunities to step up and take on a Manager role down the track.
We use a variety of production methods, including handmaking and using CAD and
masters. We specialise in engagement and wedding rings, but we also do a
variety of other types of jewellery. As a matter of policy, we don’t do repairs
of non-Larsen pieces.
Being a senior role with managerial responsibilities, an attractive salary will
be offered for the right candidate in line with your experience.
Key requirements:
• A high level of maturity is essential for this role. Previous experience in
managing people is advantageous but not necessary.
• A minimum of 15 years bench experience making fine jewellery such as
engagement rings in 18ct and/or platinum using a variety of production methods
including handmaking.
• Given our focus on quality, a high standard of workmanship and attention to
detail is absolutely essential.
• As our jewellers deal directly with the clients, you will need to have good
interpersonal and communication skills.
• A good general knowledge of diamonds and coloured gemstones.
• A high level of integrity and a strong work ethic.
