PART TIME FOOD SERVICES SUPERVISOR
(Potential for Future Full Time)
Reporting to the Manager of Nutrition and Food Services, the Food Services Supervisor will assist the Manager in coordinating the Nutrition and Food Services Department. The Food Services Supervisor will also be responsible for preparing and checking patient menus, supervising staff, maintaining staff schedules, and assisting in menu and service planning for cafeteria and vending operations.
The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications and skills:
– Grade 12 or equivalent required.
– Graduate of an approved/recognized Food Service Supervisor’s course or willing to obtain the course, with eligibility for membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition management.
– Effective oral and written communication skills.
– Minimum of two years experience in Health Care Food Services.
– Good organizational, supervisory, communication and leadership skills.
– Food Safety Certification within the last three years.
– Good working knowledge of computers.
– Experience with computerized food service systems would be an asset.
