We are a rapidly expanding small business and laboratory, specializing
in the formulation, testing and production of scented glycerine
products within sound ecological practices. Our products are intended
to mimic fruits, beverages and desserts, which are then used to
minimize or eliminate odours.

We are seeking a candidate to fill the role of Lab Management Specialist.

The candidate will be expected to:
• Spearhead the setup of a Guelph based, small scale lab/ production
facility for our glycerine based products
• Develop, direct, and implement laboratory programs including
laboratory procedures and production strategies.
• Develop laboratory programs related to proper lab procedures safety.
• Design quality control parameters.
• Contribute to new ideas for our product line
• The specialist will work directly with additional laboratory personnel.

Additional requirements:
• Significant project and computer organization
• Ability to interpret lab results
• Explaining to clients, both in layman’s and technical terms, how
tests are performed and the science behind them
• Data processing and evaluation
• Project Coordination
• Client correspondence
• Heavy usage with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
• Providing clients with frequent project updates
• Producing final written reports
• Producing final results using MS Excel

Desired Skills and Experience

Ideal candidates will have experience in at least one of these areas:

5 years minimum of management experience and as a project coordinatior
in a laboratory or production based field

A minimum of a Master’s degree or significant and advanced experience
in the field of biochemistry. A good grounding in the Environmental
sciences or related field would also be preferred.
• Laboratory data evaluation
• Conventional and unconventional reservoir characterization
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Project Coordinator
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication both written and verbal
• Advanced Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project) skills
• Have the ability to meet travel requirement
• Valid driver’s license and a clean abstract
• Experience within a small business or a background in small business
development, particularly in the manufacturing field would be a
significant asset.
