KCB is seeking a
Senior Civil Engineer to join our Brisbane office.
In this role, you
will have the opportunity to work with an internationally renowned engineering
team, across a diverse range of domestic and international projects. This is a
salary-based position, aimed at professionals with a drive to develop a career
as part of an established team.
You will have the
opportunity to:
fulfill
a senior technical role foc
ussed on civil infrastructure and water resource
engineering projects, predominantly in mining environments, comprising:
Lead
and direct engineering projects, including time and resource management and
quality control, so as to deliver projects successfully, and be accountable for
project planning and direction, as well as project management and subcontractor
management.
Undertake
conceptual and detailed engineering design and investigations of civil, water
and mining infrastructure including earthworks, waste rock dumps, tailings
storage facilities, drainage, roads, water/sediment dams, etc., maintaining
design in accordance with relevant standards, guidelines and specifications.
Provide
senior technical support with the use of engineering modelling programs which
may include HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, SEDCAD, HEC-HMS, GoldSIM, Flowmaster and Civil 3D.
Prepare
and technically review engineering reports, drawings, specifications, bill of
quantities and cost estimates.
Undertake
monitoring, inspections and field investigations of engineering projects
including, but not limited to, tailings storage facilities, diversion channels,
water dams, sediment ponds, pipelines and other mine water management
infrastructure.
Undertake
project management and client management duties for projects assigned to, or
won by you, and complete report writing and presentation needs as projects
require.
Coach
junior and intermediate staff as required including mentoring, performance
management, teamwork and staff development in relation to engineering skills
Work
collaboratively with other engineering and geoscience technical streams.
Provide
support with marketing and business development.
Travel
domestically and internationally to project sites in Asia, Pacific and North
and South America.
The successful
candidate will have a relevant degree from a recognised Tertiary institution,
and at least 8 to 15 years’ experience in Civil Engineering.
