King’s College London Business Systems Administrator Job Vacancy in UK

The Research Management Directorate (RMD) provides comprehensive research management and administration support to the College. It comprises central functions in the areas of contract negotiation, enterprise support, intellectual property management, enabling agreements, EU Research Office, audit and compliance, Graduate School support, College Research Ethics Committee, support to the College Research Committee, and research policy
support. In addition, three Campus Offices (Strand, Guys, & Denmark Hill) hosting School-facing teams are being established.

The post is being advertised in response to the creation within the RMD of a Research Information and Systems Team that will comprise various administration, database and business management roles supporting the activities of all teams within RMD.

The role offers business information systems’ support to various teams within the College’s Research Management Directorate (RMD),

The post holder acts as an administrator for various of the RMD business support systems, such as:
• Pure, the research information system,
• bespoke databases servicing the current data of the Research Grants and Contracts office,
• Costing tools that support grant submissions,
• Research Ethics databases and
• Inteum C/S® database.
o Inteum will form a focus for the role, and is an intellectual property, project and contacts management database used by three teams within RMD (IP & Licensing Team, Partnerships & Consultancy Team, and Enabling Agreements Team).
o This is an essential platform for the maintenance and reporting of all data relating to the management of the intellectual property (IP) estate of King’s College London and King’s Health Partners and certain legal agreements.

You will be educated to a minimum of A Level or equivalent, and have database administration, analysis and reporting experience. Excellent IT skills will be required, and you must also have good oral and written communication skills as you will be expected to assist and train users and maintain user guides. A high level of attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure are vital, as are good time management and prioritising skills.

The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications, within the Grade 5 scale, starting at £26,004 – £30,122 per annum, plus £2,323 per annum London Allowance.
