Job description: Failure Investigation Engineering Supervisor
In partnership with its client, Kenny-Whelan is currently seeking a Failure Investigation Engineering Supervisor to work for their client in the Co. Galway area. The FI Supervisor will be responsible for the management of Complaint Failure Investigation activities within the facility, ensuring that open investigations are completed in timely a manner and CAPA activity is initiated where required.
Job Responsibilities:
• Supervision and leadership of Failure Investigation Team.
• Ensure that Complaint Failure Investigations are completed in a timely manner.
• Prepare clear and concise reports indicating status of in-house investigations.
• Provides project direction, coaching, and mentoring for technical team personnel.
• Facilitate monthly cross functional technical meetings to review complaint investigations.
• Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
• Follow all health, safety & environmental rules and procedures and participate in safety and environmental activities in order to improve the workplace for all employees
• Provide information & guidance on environmental, health and safety issues to all team members
Skills, Abilities and Education
• Relevant third level degree in Engineering/Science
• 5 years plus experience in a technical role
• Good working knowledge of appropriate Quality System Standards (Including: 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485)
• Excellent knowledge of problem solving methodologies
• Good working knowledge or Microsoft Office Packages
• Must be a good team player & have excellence communication skills
• Six Sigma improvement methodologies is a distinct advantage.
