Position Description:
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or financial discipline.
Extensive experience in hospitality accounting, and knowledge of tax laws and
regulations for the industry.
Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and financial management software.
Previous experience in supervising employees is also required.
Overseeing accounting functions includes ensuring timely and accurate
reporting of financial information, handling yearly audits, short- and
long-term financial forecasting, and working as part of the hotel’s executive
management team.
Along with overall hotel financial responsibility, the controller manages
accounting and financial staff, which includes hiring, training and assigning
tasks to employees.
