er-owned co-operative grocery
store, is looking for casual Retail Associate. The position is for a
one shift a week, as well as filling in for vacation and sick days.
Karma has operated as a grocery store and community gathering place
for more than 40 years.
Position Summary:
• Provide friendly customer service.
• Price, display, and restock products throughout the store.
• Receive deliveries from suppliers.
• Ensure efficient and effective store opening and closing procedures.
• Purchase as required.
• Operate cash registers
• Explain and promote the co-op to potential members
The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience in retail operations and purchasing
• Knowledge of co-ops and member-owned organizations
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Be self-motivated, detail-oriented and energetic
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends
• Smart Vendor knowledge
• Flexible schedule to help cover shifts throughout the summer
Education required: Grade 12 graduation
Anticipated start date: May 5th, 2015.
Starting wage: $12.39/ hour with a 25% staff discount on all products.
