Our Client is a
multi-disciplined company specialising in customised construction contracting
in structural steel, mechanical, plate work, and piping, The Company has been
awarded a contract for the Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Plate Work (SMPP)
for the Letlhakane Mine Tailings Resource Treatment Plant. The Company is
currently seeking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced applicants to
following position:
Junior
Quantity Surveyors (3)
Job Summary
The Junior QS will be a QS in training and be supported as a graduate in the
business with major responsibility of tracking and verifying project work done
through the usage of a daily dairies and contributing towards reports for
project efficiencies.
Requirements
Qualifications,
Experience and Attributes
A Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related like Building Science or
Construction Studies, plus 1 years’ experience for university related
assignment. Experience related to an SMMP environment will be advantageous.
Main
Responsibilities
Support of the Quantity Surveyor who is responsible to protect the company’s
interest i.t.o. profit and loss on projects. The Quantity Surveyor needs to
manage the contract from a financial perspective, once that tender has been
awarded to ensure that the contract is profitable. The QS will be responsible
to calculate cost and revenue on the project on a monthly basis and need to
provide regular reporting on these calculations, highlighting financial risk
issues to the Business and Site Manager.
