A great opportunity has become available to join our Edmonton Head Office team as the Accounts Payable Manager. This is a one-person department, so you will be responsible for full-cycle A/P processing. In this role, you will be an integral part of the Norseman Inc. accounting team.
Accounts Payable Manager
Location: Edmonton
Your duties will include:
* Sorting and matching of invoices to PO’s
* Coding and entry of invoices
* Processing cheque runs
* Matching cheques to paid invoices and filing
* Reconciling general ledger accounts
* Creating and maintaining vendors in SAP accounting program
* Liaising with vendors on issues and taking corrective action as required
* Processing of month-end accruals and journal entries
* Filing of paid invoices and cheque copies
* Quarterly and year-end audit assistance
* Shared coverage of Reception for breaks and absences
To be successful in this role, you possess:
* An accounting degree or diploma, with 2+ years experience in an Accounts Payable role
* Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
* Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
* Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
* A positive attitude coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent attendance and dependability in previous position
* Experience with the SAP Operating System would be considered an asset
Rate of pay is approximately $38,000 – $43,000, depending on level of experience.
