Toshiba of Canada Limited is currently seeking an experienced translator to join our growing Marketing Communications team. Working out of our Markham, Ontario office, you will be responsible for translating a variety of content; including product specifications, collateral, web materials and service documents.
Bilingual French Translator- 1 Year Contract Opportunity
Responsibilities:
Translate product descriptions, graphic copy and other documents in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining quality standards, ensuring that translations are not merely direct translations of English texts, but rather, that they match the intentions of English texts in a manner suitable to our Quebec audience.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a University degree in Translation, 2 to 3 years of relevant industry experience translating English to French text (Advertising, Marketing, eCommerce and/or Retail) . Web Savvy with experience working with tools. You will be fluent in both English and French language and have strong knowledge of ‘Quebec’ spoken ‘French’ and be comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment managing several assignments and priorities at once. In addition, you will be a team player and have strong project management skills, sound judgement and initiative.
