The Designer in the Project Management Portfolio is a professional position reporting to the Lead, Project Scope & Design. The Designer works with a high degree of independence and in concert with the Lead, Project Scope & Design to plan and implement projects and services. The Designer develops and manages various initiatives and provides ongoing client support between individuals, departments, sites and programs. The position will provide leadership to develop a strategy for the coordination and delivery of assigned projects and services. This position provides advice and direction to clients within its specialty function and scope.
The Professional service has full-scope supervisory responsibility for professional and non-professional staff.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Interior design or a related field plus appropriate licenses and designations, (i.e. Registered Architect, Member of the Alberta Association of Architects), is preferred. A minimum of 10 years experience in facility design, in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is preferred (healthcare facility design experience an asset). A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Equivalencies of education such as Architectural, Interior Design or Engineering Technologist Diploma and relevant experience may be considered.
