The
Jhpiego is an “international non-profit health organization affiliated with
Johns Hopkins University. Jhpiego Rwanda is currently implementing the USAID’s
MCSP program that aims at reducing child and maternal mortality through
increased coverage and utilization of high-impact low cost reproductive,
maternal, new-born, and child health (RMNCH) interventions and innovative new
approaches and to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Health (MOH) to
manage and scale up high-impact RMNCH interventions and with funding from US

DoD, Jhpiego Rwanda is implementing VMMC Project with a goal to support the
Rwanda Defence Forces (RDF) in HIV prevention program through the provision of
Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) services.

Jhpiego
Rwanda under the USAID’s Maternal and Child Survival Program is hiring the Store
Officer
who will report to the Head of Administration for MCSP
Rwanda, and will be based in Kigali. The primary responsibility of the Store
Officer is to manage the office stores and update inventory at least twice a
year. Duties and responsibilities are outlined here below:
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible
    and Managing Office stores
  • Receiving,
    arrange and distributing goods
  • Proper
    filing copies of store cards, store release forms, receiving goods notes
    sheets and request of goods and service sheets
  • Assist
    the Admin Team Leader to make a list of obsolete goods/equipment to
    dispose off
  • Ensure
    proper assets management and inventory control mechanisms are in place and
    reliable.
  • Making
    full inventory 2 times per year
  • Ensure
    any movement of asset(s) between Jhpiego and its staff or between the
    organization and its donors and its partners is documented and tracked.
  • Maintain
    assets list updated every month and available in both soft and hard
    copies.
  • Maintain
    inventory of office equipment updated every quarter.
  • Produce
    stock inventory report every month.
  • Ensure
    safety of items in store.
  • Perform
    any other tasks requested by hierarchical superiors
Required
Qualifications & experience:
  • Be
    Rwandan by nationality
  • Bachelor
    Degree in Business administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain,
    Logistics, Store Management or any related field.
  • Proven
    3 progressive years of experience in store management or standard
    logistics from large international NGOs
  • Be
    detail oriented, hard worker
  • Excellent
    leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills;,
  • Excellent
    communication and analytical skills;
  • Fluent
    in English and have basic communication skills in French
  • Excellent
    IT skills (Word, Excel Power Point, Access, Internet, Outlook)
  • Ready
    to start immediately
