Eden Scott’s client, who develops market-leading data capture system for a number of industry sectors, is looking to recruit an experienced Java developer to play a key role as part of their core development team. They have an established and growing customer base that recognise their products as one of the best in the market and on the back of recent success are looking to grow the team.
This is a coding focused role and will involve the following key areas of responsibility:
* Adding new features and restructuring our client’s PDA, Desktop and Server software
* Working with the latest technologies to deliver the best product in the market
* Keeping abreast of the latest technologies in the market and quickly picking up new technologies as and when required
* Working closely with business/systems analysts to deliver software in-line with business requirements
* Provide input to interface design

They are looking for a solid, technical developer with previous commercial experience of the following skills:
* Java – J2SE / J2EE
* XML/XSLT
* Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly
* Proven ability to work in a relatively autonomous environment
Desirable skills:
* Experience with Blackberry software development
* J2ME
* C++
* Javascript
* AJAX or similar current web technologies
