Title: Business Development, Outside Sales
Reports To: Director, Sales
The Outside Sales Representative will identify, create and pursue new business opportunities in the corporate foreign exchange sector. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing new business relationships and effectively identifying and communicating appropriate foreign exchange solutions.
The goal of the Outside Sales Representative is to establish rapport and build credibility with clients through effectively presenting solutions that encompass clients’ entire international foreign exchange and payment needs and establishing Jameson Bank as the primary provider.
The ability to communicate, present and negotiate with various levels / positions within a prospective company both over the phone and in person is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
• Contact prospects and set appointments with new business opportunities
• Market and close sales opportunities for Jameson Bank’s foreign exchange products and international payment services
• Build and maintain strategic business relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Research and analyze clients’ business objectives, identify their foreign exchange and international payment requirements, and design a benefits-based solution and action plan demonstrating how Jameson Bank can meet client needs
• Develop sales strategies and plan to best position products and services
• Manage the complete sales cycle process to ensure maximum productivity and completion of sales/pipeline reports, and competitor information.
• Communicate customer requirements, sales, and lead information with the trading team and management
• Adhere to Compliance, and Anti-Money Laundering procedures, as well as all company policies
• Represent Jameson Bank in a professional manner at all times
• Meet and exceed sales targets
• Establish a productive sales/trader relationship
• Demonstrate commitment to continuing education and knowledge of Jameson Bank products and services, as well as the foreign exchange industry in general
• Cold calling and participation in telemarketing activities and initiatives to prospective clients
• Perform all other reasonable duties as requested by management or management delegate
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Experience in the financial industry an asset
• Exemplary communication skills – verbal, written and comfortable with formal presentations
• Demonstrated negotiation capabilities
• High degree of self-motivation and focus, combined with effective organizational and time management skills
• A tenacious approach; and possess a positive attitude toward and ability to effectively adapt to change
• High degree of professionalism, with a confident and persuasive manner
• Superior customer service skills with a focus on building customer loyalty

• Strong collaborative and team building skills
• Computer proficient
• Knowledge of the foreign exchange and international payments marketplace – an asset, but training will be provided
Qualifications
• University or college education with an emphasis on international studies, economics, marketing, or finance – highly regarded
• Minimum 2 years of business to business solution sales experience with a proven track record – an asset
