Overall objective of the assessment
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Office and in close cooperation with the Counter Trafficking Project Manager and in close cooperation with the Counter Trafficking Project Manager, the overall objective of this consultancy will be to design, develop and coordinate the activities in the work plan for awareness raising strategy and campaign design materials.
Specific Objectives:
A )Conduct a rapid assessment to identify major target groups
B) Determine the level of existing knowledge on human trafficking (serve as a baseline)
C) Identify the most appropriate radio stations
D) Develop, provide ideas for design IEC Materials (Information brochures , Posters, Magazine articles, News paper articles)
E) Pre- testing exercise of the messages
F) Develop List of journalist contacts
G) Develop a methodology for distribution of the IEC materials to selected community members, schools and among the general public and share with the project manager for approval;
H) Assist in any other work assigned by the project officer
Deliverables:
1. Inception report demonstrating a clear understanding of the CT Rwanda programme activities, mainly the awareness raising strategy and how the mission will be carried out by 1st week.
2. A rapid assessment report on major target groups and existing knowledge on human trafficking, including identification of the most suitable media and ideas of IEC Materials by 2nd week
3. Feedback on pre-test of all IEC materials and list of media/journalist contacts, including methodology of distribution by 3rd week;
4. All IEC Materials and final report should be submitted directly to IOM Rwanda by 4th week.
