Application deadline date: Thursday 29 September 2011, 12 PM London, UK time
Starting salary: £20,000 – £25,000 depending on skills and experience

ISUOG seeks a self motivated team member to provide support to the Executive Director in ensuring the continued growth of the Society through the development of new projects, implementation of the strategic plan and in the day to day management of the Society and its resources.

About you
If you are an effective, confident self-starter who enjoys variety, responsibility and thinking on your feet this could be the job for you. You have a good degree, at least some experience in administration or business management and ideally some knowledge of dealing with Boards, Committees and/or medical professionals. You should be exceptionally organised, have excellent communication skills and advanced computer literacy and be comfortable managing your own workload or multi-tasking.

About us
ISUOG disseminates research and facilitates, promotes and provides education and training in the field of ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology worldwide. Our membership and activities have been growing steadily and, with nearly 5,000 current members based in over 100 countries, the society is the most important in its medical speciality. Activities are coordinated through our small dedicated staff team at our West London based headquarters.

About the role
The role involves supporting the Executive Director in all aspects of her work to implement and develop the Society’s strategic plan, to support the Board in achieving its longterm goals and to ensure the efficient day to day running of the Society.

The post holder will have responsibility for managing all communication with and meetings of the Society’s Trustees and, as necessary, their supporting committees. Any new projects or goals set by the Board become the responsibility of the Executive Director and her assistant to take forward so the role can be extremely varied and sometimes challenging.

Capacity and relationship building are an essential component, both in developing trust with the Society’s leadership and in building relationships with other organisations to support membership and project growth.

There are significant organisational and administrative elements to this role, combined with the opportunity to take initiative and lead projects within a small but proactive organisation.

Notification and interviews
Successful candidates will be short listed and notified on Friday 30 September 2011. Interviews will be scheduled for Tuesday 4 October.

To apply
Please read the job and person specification carefully, fill in the application form and send it back to jobs@isuog.org along with a covering letter.

If you would like to discuss the role informally you can contact the existing post holder lstanyer@isuog.org.
