-Academic
qualifications (completion of BSc and MSc degrees) and awards; GPA score in the
Bachelor’s degree programme (preferably a first-class (honours) degree, or a;
GPA of 3.7 or above (out of 4.0) or equivalent); GPA score in the Master’s
degree programme;
– Awards in academic competitions and publications in journals;
– English proficiency (IELTS of min. 6.5, with score for the writing component
at 6.0 or above ; TOEFL of normally not lower than 575 paper-based / 232
computer-based / 90 internet-based; or equivalent);
– Topic fits with strategic research priorities of the School of Nursing,
PolyU;
– Research experience;
– Engagement with community issues and/or international exposure (e.g.
experience and record in professional and/or extracurricular activities);
– Healthcare background (nursing profession will be a priority).
