The Integrated Polytechnic Regional Center
(IPRC-South) is a legally established Government Higher Learning Institution
established under law 03/2009 of 27/03/2009 that establishes WDA and IPRCs as
its affiliated Institutions.
The IPRC-South Huye campus is the premier TVET
institution in the Southern Province comprised of three constituent campuses; a
Polytechnic (Advanced Diploma), a Vocational Training

Center (VTC), and a
Technical Secondary School (TSS).

IPRC-South has a mandate of Implementing. &
facilitating TVET offers in Southern Province in order to enhance
competitiveness and employability through strong and dynamic TVET system wishes
to recruit an oracle trainer/instructor. The instructor would be a
permanent instructor operating from Integrated Polytechnic and Regional center
(IPRC South) .The instructor will be operating and staying at this regional
center and work as per the terms of reference agreed upon. The oracle trainer
will among others train the students and guide and train the trainers/teachers
not necessarily those of IPRC South, in different discipline of oracle and also
leading them to oracle different certifications. The instructor/trainer should
be ready to have a permanent seat at IPRC South head office in Huye District,
Southern Province of Rwanda. The details of the requirements are:
Job Description:
  • Does the planning for the coverage of modules in
    the allocated classes
  • Conducting trainings/instructions based on the
    given curriculum
  • Usage of appropriate guidelines and technical
    reference material for the conduct of education delivery.
  • Ensuring fair conduct of examinations and giving
    results to the students on time.
  • Ensure timely class closures.
  • Maintaining pertinent records of education
    delivery and student appraisal such as student attendance
  • Participating in the review of Education Delivery
    and responsible for conducting onsite/offsite training when need arises
  • Updating the student’s service about the
    courseware requirement in advance to ensure the timely delivery of
    courseware to the students.
  • Participate in academic activities: curriculum
    development, advising committees
Qualifications and Experience
A work experience in an information technology field
and/or teaching information technology courses for over 3 years. A bachelor’s
degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely
allied field with at least 3 years’ experience in oracle trainings or Higher
diploma in the same field and over 5 years’ experience in oracle courses
trainings. The candidates must be an oracle certified instructor and recognized
by Oracle.
Should be recent education in cutting edge computer
technology areas. Practical experience in learner-centered education pedagogy
and strategies.
Certifications Required:
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or more of the
following certifications including: Oracle Database (OCA), Oracle Java, Oracle
MySQL
Languages: JAVA, SQL, Database: Oracle 11g, 10g, MySQL
5.0, Web/UI Technologies: Java Script, J2SE, J2EE (JSP, Servers)
Database related tasks like indexes, stored
procedures, Triggers, DML and queries.
