Instructor – Railway Conductor Training Program

We are currently seeking an Instructor to join our team.
Duties: Reporting to the Program Manager, the candidate will be responsible for classroom instruction in the college’s 15-week Railway Conductor training program. Candidates are also being sought for a part-time training program to run during evenings and possibly weekends. Instruction will be required for field work at the college’s partner railway company, where students receive practical experience.
Qualification Requirements:
– Candidates require comprehensive knowledge of the Canadian Railway Operating Rules (CROR), as well as General Railway Operating Instructions and Operating Practices
– Preference will be given to candidates who have a railway transportation train or rail traffic control service background, with management experience such as Trainmaster, Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, Engine Service Officer, Master Mechanic, Road Foreman, Rules Instructor, Assistant or Chief Rail Traffic Controller, or comparable working history
– Preference will be given to candidates who are currently active in the railway industry or have been within the last two years
– Preference will be given to candidates who have CROR Certification within the last two years
– Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential
