Innovative Agricultural Research Initiative International Photography and Communications Internship Job Vacancy in Tanzania

The
Innovative Agricultural Research Initiative (iAGRI) is a USAID-funded project
that aims to strengthen training and collaborative research capacities of
Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) and the Tanzanian Ministry of
Agriculture, Food Security and Cooperatives (MAFC) with the goal of improving
food security and agricultural productivity in Tanzania.

We are seeking a
graduate student, recent graduate, or experienced photographer and writer to
join us in Morogoro, Tanzania. The intern will be responsible for creating
compelling stories that combine photography and narrative to feature our
programs and sponsored researchers. In addition, the intern will document iAGRI
events, maintain the photo archive and develop other communications materials
as needed

.

The successful
candidate will demonstrate independence, maturity, and the ability to manage
scheduling for interviews and photo shoots. He or she will be both an
experienced photographer and storyteller with established writing skills.

Although the internship
is unpaid, iAGRI will provide round-trip airfare and ground transportation to
Morogoro as well as a living stipend. College credit is also available. Start
date is flexible, but a minimum 10 week commitment is required. Preference will
be given to applicants with experience in developing countries and/or a strong
background in photography and design.
