The Hunger Project Uganda (THP-U); an international NGO committed to achieving the sustainable end of hunger and poverty through an integrated approach to rural development under the framework of the Millennium Development Goals. THP seeks to recruit a qualified individual for the position of Partnership Development and Resource Mobilization (PDRM) Officer Since 1999, THP- Uganda has been working with the Uganda government at the district and sub-district levels, fostering partnerships with rural communities to contribute to the achievement of the MDGs. The PDRM Officer will be a new position within THP-Uganda to build and strengthen local partnerships and achieve national fundraising. This person should be an inspirational networker who can operate at the highest levels of government, civil society and private sector.

Most important responsibilities will be:
(1) to develop and implement a strategy for national partnerships and resource mobilization;
(2) to establish and maintain relations with development stakeholders;
(3) to develop partnerships and funding proposals in close collaboration with the Country Director, national program staff and THP Global Office.

The PDRM Officer directly reports to the THP- Uganda Country Director. (S)He also collaborates with other senior staff and other program officers of THP- Uganda

Requirement:
Knowledge and experience
• A Master’s Degree in a field relevant to THP-Uganda’s programs
• Demonstrate a strong personal commitment to bottom-up development and gender equality,
• A proven track record of accomplishments at an international NGO, government agency of multi/bi-lateral agency in the field of development, and with experience in fundraising and lobby and advocacy,
• Show sufficient maturity and field experience to be personally credible with senior development practitioners,
• Have a strong reputation and influential network in the national development community in Uganda
