Position Summary
Reporting to the Humber Arboretum Director, the incumbent is responsible for
assisting with customer service and scheduling bookings for the Humber
Arboretum and Centre for Urban Ecology. The inc
umbent will work independently
as well as in collaboration with the Humber Arboretum Director and staff from
the Arboretum and Humber College. Key activities include providing customer
service by email and telephone (i.e. responding to inquiries by clients about
details of workshops and programs), overseeing the camp database system, and
scheduling bookings for school programs, camps, workshops, and tours.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a certificate or diploma in Office
Administration, Scheduling Coordination or related area along with a minimum of
2 years of related work experience. Desired skills and qualifications include:
excellent customer service skills with solid experience providing quality
customer service assistance via email and phone; demonstrated aptitude for both
written and verbal communication; excellent organizational skills including the
ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; the ability to work both
independently and with a team; and computer competency including a working
skill set for Microsoft applications.
