HR Controller/Financial Analyst Job Vacancy in Rwanda

Our client is a telecommunication company in Rwanda seeking to recruit a result driven and motivated individual for the vacancy above;

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Takes the lead in an up-to-date RAR process
• Shows responsibility for employee related costs
• To be in contact with all managers to analyze, optimize and steer the employee related costs
• To be an adviser for the HR Manager on employee related costs (including outsourced costs)
• Is an example cooperating with the financial department (building the bridge)
• Work closely with local Line Managers to provide and ensure high level/quality financial controlling support regarding employee related costs
• To follow up on operational KPIs (such as recruitment speed, staff turnover, etc.) on top of the financial KPIs (such as personnel cost as a % of revenue, average cost per employee, etc.)
• Support the annual budgeting process with respect to all employee related costs. Roll out of specific templates, instructions and communication in line with business requirements
• Monitor and control the annual salary review process, the bonus process and the Long Term Incentive Plan process in order to ensure timely and accurate delivery
• Monitor and control financial development of initiatives, both cost savings and project spend – help to proactively identify cost savings opportunities and control the existing cost base
• Review monthly results with senior management including month-end and YTD financial results and headcount numbers compared with budgets
• Ensure together with the Finance department that employee related costs and expenses are allocated to the appropriate accounts
• Is responsible having an up-to-date organizational chart for the whole operation
• Works according the company values
• Is an example in building the bridge between Finance and HR
• Ensure adherence to GAAP/IFRS and guarantee process are well-documented and comply with legal/regulatory SOX requirements
• Lead all external/internal audit processes (interactions with audit)
• Identify the right organization per department in terms of staff level and headcount contributing to keeping the KPI PC as a % of Rev under control and in line with management expectations
• Employee related cost reporting and benchmarking between markets internally and in the market externally

Qualification and Skills:
• University degree or an equivalent educational background with a major in accounting/financial or a recognized accounting qualification
• At least 3 yrs experience in financial and/or management reporting
• Specific HR expert knowledge within Controlling would be a plus
• Prior experience in budgeting and/or financial forecasting
• Excellent Computer Skills (MS Office, ideally Oracle BI and Essbase-knowledge)
