Title: Director Donor liaison and Advocacy – Kampala (1 post)
JOB PURPOSE:
To develop, monitor and review resource mobilization strategies for sustaining the organization’s programs, identify various funding opportunities and ensure timely and quality reporting to donors and implement our Advocacy Strategy
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
• Develops and implements a fundraising strategy and advocacy strategy
• Builds rapport with potential donors, raises awareness for Palliative Care, and inspires supporters to fund HAU Palliative care services.
• Reviews HAU’s budgets and establishes the program financial needs in time
• Manages and reviews the preparation of fundable – quality proposals.
• Follows up project proposals submitted to donors and keeps proper record of all correspondences
• Writes project and accountability reports and submits them to donors.
• Develops and maintains relations with donors.
• Monitors the implementation of the funded projects.
• Upgrades Hospice profile through information sharing with donors and other stake holders
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A post graduate University degree in Development studies, Project Planning and Management, Resource Mobilization, Economics, Business, Social Sciences, or other related field is essential. At least five years of management experience, including networking, donor communication and relations, resource mobilization and utilization, in a reputable firm, donor agency, public corporation or NGO.
