We are looking for an intern to live here on the farm and work along
side us to learn the skill of organic market growing.

Jamie Creskey has owned and worked this farm for the last seven years
and each year, it has been growing.   We grow many vegetables
including zucchini, garlic, heirloom tomatoes and melons as well as
carrots, cucumbers and a variety of beans, just to name a few.  We
attend the Ottawa farmers markets on Saturdays and Sundays and have a
CSA of about 50 member

s.

The farm now urgently needs an energetic, motivated and dedicated
apprentice(s). We are looking for either an individual or couple/team
to live at the farm and be willing to learn a variety of tasks from
planting, hoeing & weeding right up to harvesting, bunching & market
place. Our new team members(s) must possess the strong desire to learn
the workings of an organic, bio-dynamic farm and the ambition to help
it thrive. Our new team member should have the good communication
skills and be respectful of other family members & team members.

We are located in the Seaway Valley where we grow on a approximately 6
acres of land and have a flock of pastured Katahdin sheep. We are a
family farm with lots of energy and children. We need someone who is
looking for an internship; willing to learn and be a dynamic hands-on
team member. We are offering living arrangements in a trailer and a
stipend. As well, they are are invited to join us in the bounty of the
farm’s produce.

This position is open as of immediately and would run until the end of
season which would be around mid-November. Also, we would very much
like to have an intern that might like to return again next year.
