Job Description
Our client, an international leader in the oil and gas industry, seeks to add a member to its team as a “Sourcing Lead”.
The incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of strategies and tactics to effectively manage local sourcing to maximize supplier performance and support business plan execution. This role is based in Accra, Ghana.
Responsibilities include:
• Creates and monitors sourcing plans that secure supply and minimize supply chain disruptions, in accordance with company sourcing strategies.
• Drafts action plans, timelines and resource assignments to facilitate sourcing project execution.
• Locates, selects and distributes demand across supplier base in accordance with departmental preferences and corporate strategies.
• Leads and internally coordinates supplier assessment, selection and contracting processes including the negotiating of prices and terms to meet quality, delivery and cost objectives.
• Leads the response to RFI or RFP processes to minimize risk and maximize value in terms of quality, delivery and cost of ownership.
• Recognizes opportunities and implements actions to reduce time, money and resource wastage.
• Builds strong and strategic relationships with internal customers.
• May be responsible for managing a team of Sourcing Specialists and for delivering top performance team wide.

Required Skills or Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Manufacturing.
• Must have 3 years + experience in Sourcing.
• Must be a team player with strong leadership and management skills.
• Must be analytical, organized and able to influence and manage change.
• Must have strong negotiating skills, sound business ethics and demonstrate consistent principles and behaviour.
