For the last 15 years, The Hi-Fi Group has been hosting the world’s best live music artists and comedians at its venues in Melbourne and Brisbane. The Hi-Fi Group opened its newest venture, the Hi-Fi Sydney, in late February 2012.
Our AVM will work directly with the Venue Manager to carry out both operational and administrative components of the overall running of the business. Operationally, the role will involve running live gigs, staff management and training. Administration duties include rostering, cost of goods, stock management as well as liaising with promoters, tour managers and local, national and international touring acts.
We are offering this role on a casual basis, with an average of 3 – 5 shifts per week. This includes both day (administration) and night (operation) shifts. Shifts vary and are dependent on booking schedules. As a result, our rosters cover Monday – Sunday shifts. Hourly rates are generous and the company offers great support, a unique working environment and plenty of perks.

We’re looking for someone who:
• Has previous management experience in a similar venue, or a venue with relevant transferable skills
• Can contribute positively and bring new ideas and energy to an already strong and proud business, within the walls of a new venue
• Has a genuine, friendly personality and great people skills, allowing them to communicate effectively with staff, punters and promoters
• Is a hard worker, has fantastic work ethic, drive, commitment and integrity
• Possesses excellent knowledge and understanding of NSW licensing regulations
• Has experience with and knowledge of point of sales systems, bar procedures, stock control, staff training and management
• Understands the demands and rewards of working in both the hospitality and live music industries
Qualifications and training:
NSW RSA qualification is a MUST, but other qualifications which will be of great benefit to your application include Chief Fire Warden training and first aid qualification.
