Brora Primary School serves the village of Brora and surrounding rural communities. The current roll is 94 pupils in 4 class groupings. There are 4 class teachers, including a principal teacher and a class-committed (0.4fte) Head Teacher. In addition, there is an allocation of management and support teachers. There is also nursery provision within the school campus, with a current roll of 20 children. The school nursery is served by a Nursery Co-ordinator teacher and pre-school support staff. There is an allocation of clerical assistance, classroom assistants and support for learning staff.

Brora Primary School belongs to Golspie Associated Schools Group. There are regular meetings amongst the Head Teachers of the other 6 primary schools in the ASG, together with senior staff from Golspie High School. Meetings cover a wide range of issues, in particular curricular planning and transition in light of the Curriculum for Excellence developments. Pupils from Brora transfer at the end of P7 to Golspie High School. Golspie is the next village to the south of Brora on the A9.
