Head of Corporate & Trusts Fundraising Job Vacancy in London

Further informationImagine for a moment that you’re a child or young person with a life limiting condition that means you probably won’t reach your 19th birthday. You wouldn’t want to be seen as different or special. You’d want to do all the normal things that children love to do like play, discover new experiences, laugh and have fun. You’d want to make the most of every day. You’d want to live an ordinary life.

Extraordinary people can make ordinary moments happen. We’re a brand new organisation formed by the merger of Shooting Star and CHASE. We’ve come together for one reason: to provide more expertise and more responsive care services to more children and their families. In fact, we’ll be supporting over 500 life-limited children and young people in the South East.

Corporations and Trusts are a vital source of funds for us. To make sure that make the most of this potential income, we are looking for a proven professional who will devise and implement a strategy for sustainable development of the sector. You’ll be working at the most senior level, building and maintaining key relationships with important givers, senior volunteers, colleagues and other stakeholders. The face and voice of our charity at public events, you’ll provide exemplary leadership in a caring and supportive environment and champion our cause professionally.

It’s a challenge that demands more than good intentions. Whilst you’ll need to be passionate about supporting life-limited children and their families, you’ll also need hard commercial experience and a track record of generating £100k+ new business relationships within large corporate environments and consistent achievement of achieving incomes in excess of £500k. Graduate calibre and with membership of the Institute of Fundraising you must be an inspiring team builder and manager and have sound understanding of palliative care and the not for profit sector.

Join our team and we’ll support you, too, with excellent professional development, for example, as well as great benefits including NHS pension recognition (where appropriate) and childcare vouchers to name but a few. Above all though, you can look forward to a thoroughly rewarding role – because you’ll be helping us to make every day amazing for the children and teenagers we care for.
