Venture Partners (Rwanda) Ltd is a newly established company that is focusing
on developing the agriculture industry within the country. The organization is
a wholly owned subsidiary of H20 Venture partners LLP, a United Kingdom based
Company.
We are looking at engaging a Horticulture
Agronomist consultant to provide the company with horticulture
operation advice for a project to be run in Rwanda.
Job Title:
Horticulture Agronomist Consultant
Duties and
Responsibilities:
1) Responsible for visiting the operations to identify and evaluate the
business and/or technical requirements;
2) Assist with legislative advice with regards to new business ventures in
Rwanda;
3) Collecting and analyzing data and crop yield to measure performance;
4) Reviewing and advising on modification of operating plans;
5) Organizing and conducting field trials to find solutions to problems;
6) Planning and implementing improvements such as using more effective pest
control measures;
7) Organizing presentations, demonstrations, training and farm walks for the
company
8) Communicating effectively, both in writing and orally, with the company;
9) Writing advisory leaflets and technical notes;
10) Researching and keeping up to date with any relevant developments in
agriculture;
11) Preparing reports.
Qualifications
and Skills:
– Degree in agricultural science majoring in horticulture.
– Post graduate degree and certificate courses in horticulture production will
be a plus.
– At least two years experience in a similar role.
– Problem-solving and business acumen skills.
– Strong level of influence and negotiation skills.
– Able to work efficiently as a team member.
