Trails Youth Initiatives, a Private School, is an innovative and unique organization for vulnerable youth aged 12-15 from inner city Toronto.
Every Trails’ student receives year-round support, through one weekend a month and two weeks in the summer, at our site in Newmarket. We use an integrative and holistic approach to intervention, including experiential based learning, outdoor activities, yoga and mindfulness, where focus is on changing the exterior landscape from the inside out. Our participants receive consistency, a stable environment and mentorship. Over the course of 4 years (with an optional 5th year leadership training program) youth receive the benefit of a support system that sets the foundation for the rest of their lives.
