Are you a Canadian
university student who will be representing your school on the golf course next
year? Would you be interested in some financial help so that you can worry more
about your stroke count than your student debt? Then make sure to apply for a
2013 Golf Canada Foundation Scholarship.
If you are a student
who will be registered in a Canadian CEGEP, college, or university in September
2013, and will be a member of the school’s golf team, you can apply now to
receive awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. A total of 12-15 scholarships are
available this year.
The deadline for
applications is July 5th, 2013 so start your application as soon as possible
for the opportunity to receive support from the Golf Canada Foundation and ease
your financial burden! Visit www.golfcanada.ca/scholarship
for details. Announcement of scholarship recipients will be made by September
2013.
These scholarships
are a part of the Golf Canada Foundation’s goal to support and promote
participation in golf by engaging players of all ages and abilities across the
country. The Golf Canada Foundation has awarded 319 promising young golfers,
landscape architects and turfgrass agronomists, a total of 655 scholarships
valued at over $2,209,500.00 since establishing its scholarship program in
1982. The scholarships assist qualified students with the cost of tuition,
books, residence and other related expenses.
