exciting opportunity has emerged for a highly regarded Senior/Principal
Engineering Geologist with geotechnical experience to join the team at Golder
Associates.
Based in the Perth office, you will be a member of our dynamic Geotechnical
group providing technically excellent advice and best practice consulting
services to our clients. In your role, you will have a strong client ma

nagement
focus and display strong technical leadership.  You will have the opportunity
to work alongside our professional team of technical experts and industry
leaders and work on a diverse range of technically challenging projects.

More
specifically you will:   
·        
provide
technical advice and consultancy on complex engineering geological and
geotechnical issues to clients and internal staff;
·        
develop
and maintain client relationships and build business;
·        
use
advanced techniques, modifications and extension of theories, practices to
synthesise and analyse data fordecision making/ recommendations;
·        
manage,
perform analysis and field observations and carry out geological and
geotechnical reporting for projects;
·        
plan,
develop schedules, coordinate and direct manpower on important engineering
projects to meet completion deadlines;
·        
provide
safety leadership in identifying and alleviating/ eliminating high priority
safety hazards;
·        
participate
in trainingactivities, mentoring and transferring knowledge to junior
geotechnical engineers/engineering geologists; and
·        
prepare
proposals and reports for clients and effectively communicate key findings and
recommendations,
You
will possess:
·        
primary
skills and experience in Engineering Geology and secondary skills and
experience in Geotechnical Engineering;
·        
several
years’ experience in a senior consulting role;
·        
skill
and experience in developing geological models;
·        
strong
observational and interpretation skills (e.g. field, LiDAR, aerial photography,
etc.);
·        
experience
in project management and financial control;
·        
advanced
analytical and problem solving skills;
·        
strong
written, diagrammatic and oral communication skills; and
·        
well-developed
interpersonal skills.
