Global Alliance Scholarships for International Students

Applications
are invited for Global Alliance Scholarships available to students living and
working outside of Switzerland. Scholarships are awarded for
Executive Master of Science in Communications Management program
(EMScom). Each scholarship totals CHF 24,500, half of the EMScom tuition
fees, and will be deducted from the total fee of the program.

These
scholarships are part of the Global Alliance’s commitment to educational
programs which support its institutional goals.
The
Global Alliance’s mission is to unify the public relations profession, raise
professional standards all over the world, share knowledge for the benefit of
its members and be the global voice for public relations in the public
interest.
Course
Level: 
Scholarships
are available for pursuing an executive master degree program.

Eligibility: The Global Alliance
scholarships, based on financial need, are available to applicants who do not
receive employer assistance in funding their executive
education. Candidates have to:
  • Have
    a minimum of 5 years of work experience
  • Work
    in a communication-related department
  • Live
    and work outside of Switzerland
  • Be
    fully self- funding their EMScom education.
Nationality: International
students (living and working outside of Switzerland) can apply for these Global
Alliance scholarships.

Language Requirements: 
Applicants from outside the home
country will often need to meet specific English language/other language
requirements in order to be able to study there.
How
to Apply: 
To
proceed with the GA Scholarship application, please follow these easy steps

– In-person or Skype interview with the EMScom Academic Director. During the
interview, the candidate’s educational and professional background, path, as
well as motivations and expectations on the program will be discussed. Required
documents, to be sent to emscom-at-usi.ch are:
  • Curriculum
    Vitae
  • Copy
    of diplomas and transcripts of records
  • Organizational
    charts of participant’s organization (if available)
  • Essay
    of motivation
The
essay of motivation should be around 1000 words and should contain the
following topics:
  • Applicants
    motivation for applying to the EMScom
  • How
    will the EMScom contribute to their professional development
  • Why
    do applicants feel they are a strong candidate for the program
  • How
    they would contribute to enhancing the experience of the EMScom class
  • What
    they would do to enhance the EMScom alumni network
The
EMScom program works on a rolling admission policy, so please make sure that
you are admitted to the EMScom (non-binding) before December 31.
2
– Fill in the GA scholarship application form and send it
electronically and in hard copy to the Global Alliance by December 31 of each
year at the latest. The candidate might be called for an interview by one
of the Global Alliance Board members.
