Before the beginning of the 2019/2020 Azam Rwandan Premier Football League season, Gicumbi Football Club wrapped up the signing of Ghanaian internationals David Ofei and Felix Asamoah.
The Byumba-based side is preparing for a strong campaign next season and has decided to step up its team
The latest to join is Daniel Ofei Vanderpuije and Felix Asamoah’s Ghanaian duo. Gicumbi FC intends to finish the signing of more players in order to increase their squad, according to controls.
David Nortey, the top Ghanaian agent, facilitated the transfer of the two players to the Byumba- based club as they looked to storm the Rwanda Premier League.
David Osei and Felix Asamoah are respectively former members of Crystal Palace FC Ghanaian clubs and Action Boys FC.
The two players committed themselves to a two-year agreement and are anticipated to be on the side until 2021.
The club also hired a fresh head coach from Burundi, Ismaili Jean Marie Nduwantare, replacing the club’s fired Camarade Banamwana.
Nduwantare, who has signed a two- year contract agreement, is responsible for ensuring that the top six finishes the first season.
Last season, the club lived to tell the story by finishing in 14th place with 31 points out of 30 matches, in relation to 15 losses, 8 wins, and 7 drawings in 30 matches.
