client a full service healthcare consulting firm dedicated to helping
healthcare providers, government agencies and international pharmaceutical
companies throughout the African continent is currently looking to hire a
proactive Managing Director to aid in their operations.

ROLE
PROFILE
The
Executive will serve as the principal strategy and business development
executive of the company and will have ultimate responsibility. He/she will be
responsible for developing, implementing and managing short, medium and long-term
strategies that will ensure the continued growth of the business.
DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
  • Liaise
    with the Board of Directors in developing a vision and strategic plan to
    guide the organization
  • Oversee
    the implementation of the organisation’s long and short term plans in
    accordance with its strategy
  • Prospect
    for potential business relations by pursuing and liaising with major
    Medical institutions
  • Identify,
    assess, and inform the Board of Directors of internal and external issues
    that affect the organization
  • Act
    as a professional advisor to the Board of Director on all aspects of the
    organization’s activities and as a liaison between management and
    directors.
  • To
    assess the principal risks of the organisation and to ensure that these
    risks are being monitored and managed
  • Serve
    as a key brand icon for the company, creating a niche for it in the
    finance and Investment sector and consistently reinforcing and promoting
    the corporate brand value and identity across Ghana.
  • Lead
    the overall business development efforts (including deal sourcing and
    origination) to ensure the realization of the company’s expansion and
    growth aspirations.
  • Develop
    and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and lead the development
    of relevant strategic alliances.
  • Drive
    the development of annual operating plans including business plans,
    operational requirements, staffing and budgets to ensure business
    continuity.
Operational
Planning and Management
  • Develop
    an operational plan which incorporates goals and objectives that work
    towards the strategic direction of the organization
  • Ensure
    that the operations of the organization meets the expectations of its
    clients
  • Lead
    the overall business development efforts (including deal sourcing and
    origination) to ensure the realization of the company’s expansion and
    growth aspirations.
  • Ensure
    that personnel, client, donor and volunteer files are securely stored and
    privacy/confidentiality is maintained
  • Schedule
    and coordinate meetings with the Directors when appropriate and create
    agenda for these meetings
  • Oversee
    the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the organization
Human
Resources Planning and Management
  • Oversee
    the implementation of human resources policies, procedures and practices
    including the development of job description for all staff
  • Establish
    a positive, healthy and safe work environment in accordance with all
    appropriate legislation and regulations
Financial
Planning and Management
  • To
    ensure that the organisation’s expenditure is within the authorized annual
    budget
  • Work
    with staff and the Finance Committee to prepare a comprehensive budget
  • Administer
    the funds of the organization according to the approved budget and monitor
    the monthly cash flow of the organization
  • Provide
    Directors with comprehensive, regular reports on the revenues and
    expenditure of the organization
Risk
Management
  • Identify
    and evaluate the risks facing the organization and implement measures to
    control them
  • Ensure
    that the Board of Directors and the organization carries appropriate and
    adequate insurance coverage
  • Ensure
    that the Board and staff understand the terms, conditions and limitations
    of the insurance coverage
Required
Skills or Experience
EDUCATION
  • Degree
    in Business Administration, Management or any other related discipline.
    Master’s degree will be an advantage.
EXPERIENCE
  • 7
    – 10 years working experience in a similar challenging role or in a
    related industry
