Purchasing Supervisor
Full Time – Permanent

This position is responsible for the supervision and operation of the purchasing department. Oversee the timely acquisition of goods and services at appropriate quality and price. Maintain inventory control procedures and inventory levels. This position will act as a technical resource to department personnel and other departments regarding purchasing activities including procedures, product detail and contracts.

Position Available: Immediately
Hours of Work: Full Time hours (37.5 hours/week)
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience within salary band identified for this role

Academic Qualifications Required:
* Equivalent to College graduation or 2 year Community College
Academic Qualifications Preferred
• Supply Chain Management Profession Designation (SCMP)

Required previous experience:
• Minimum 10 years purchasing experience (preferably in a hospital setting), with 5 of those years in a supervisory role.
• Proficient in the use of personal computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

Preferred previous experience and skills:
• Strong interpersonal skills required in the areas of verbal and written communications, customer focus, professionalism, negotiating, coaching, and team building.
• Strong listening, questioning, problem-solving and assessment skills.
• Experience in Inventory Management.
• Experience in managing Purchasing functions along with associated suppliers
• Ability of evaluate suppliers on basis of quality, cost, reliability and availability
• Ability to assist the departments with daily purchasing requirements

Assets:
• Fluency in both English and French
