Gardner’s for Health partners with health clinics in
Rwanda to provide agriculture support and health education to families with
malnourished children Gardeners for Health is an international NGO registered
in Rwanda and a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization in The United States.
Gardner’s for Health is recruiting a Health Manager to
oversee the organization’s health and nutrition curriculum, ensuring, meet the
needs of the community served. The Health Manager will serve as a key leader on
the organization’s management team, contributing to the stra

tegy and growth of
the program in Rwanda.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ensure accuracy, breadth and updating of health
    and nutrition curriculum (curriculum includes topics relevant to
    communities ‘health and nutritional success, and new medical and
    nutritional information should be included as it becomes available.
  • Provide health and nutrition trainings to GHI
    staff, community health workers, and staff at partner health centers;
  • Represent GHI as the organization’s technical
    health specialist at relevant government meetings;
  • Supervise field work for training content
    delivery and knowledge;
  • Support field staff in developing leadership,
    communication, and care giving skills;
  • Continually assess health programs outcomes and
    needs of the communities; modify existing activities and trainings
    accordingly;
  • Be an active member of the communities served;
  • Collaborate with other organizations to share
    lessons learned, best practices, and materials.
Qualifications and Qualities
  • A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing,
    Nutrition, or a relevant technical health field
  • Verbal and written fluency in Kinyarwanda and
    English
  • Excellent written and verbal Communicator and
    trainer
  • Strong work ethic, sense of accountability and
    responsibility
  • Good organizational skills
  • Solutions focused
  • Empathy and mutima mwiza
  • Community spirit
  • Easily adaptable to the needs of a growing
    organisation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
