Working

Work closely
with the Department of Social Welfare Zanzibar on overall M&E activities
including working from the DSW office as appropriate, attending DSW meetings
and regularly meeting and collaborating with DSW staff on related M&E
activities.

- Work with the Department of Social Welfare in
Zanzibar on the development and implementation of the Most Vulnerable
Children M&E System, including but not limited to supporting
development and implementation of the National MVC M&E System
Strengthening plan. - Provide technical assistance to Local
Government Authority staff on strengthening the National MVC M&E
System - Assist to develop and apply tools and
curricula to build M&E capacity especially among MVC program staff to
collect, report and use appropriate program data at the national, and
community levels. - Provide technical assistance to the
development and implementation of rapid assessments and/or evaluations on
community-based programs. - Facilitation of trainings.
- Assist in the development of the MVC M&E
training manual and support its implementation - Perform other duties within the community care
portfolio as assigned - Support implementation of the M&E plan
Attend program review meetings
Qualifications
- Minimum of a master’s degree required; degree
should be in child development, social work, community development, public
health, psychology or a related field 5+ years in the field of orphans and
vulnerable children, community development or community outreach with
direct program experience in developing countries; - experience in monitoring and evaluation,
including performance monitoring plans and indicator development - Experience working with USAID or other USG
agencies and programs or other international donors preferred - Experience in capacity-building, facilitating
trainings and/or supportive supervision preferred - Ability to function independently Ability to
work in challenging field settings - Good team player and ability to work in
multidisciplinary teams - Good communication skills and ability to work
with counterparts from community members to government officials and
researchers - Proficiency in English and Swahili Citizen of
Tanzania living in Zanzibar strongly preferred
