Blick Creative is a full circle design and web development agency looking for
an exceptional Mid-weight Front-End Web Developer/Graphic Designer to become a
part of our close-knit team. Blick has a diverse range of clients, from
government to corporate, with a special focus on the not-for-profit sector.
The Position
The position will focus on web design and
web development of custom websites,
but at times you will be required to assist with some print work (about an
80/20 split). You will possess strong skills in HTML5,,CSS3 and SASS, with a
good working knowledge of JavaScript and Jquery a bonus. The position will
report directly to our Head of Design and Digital, but you will often be
required to drive and manage development projects personally. You will also
have the opportunity to mentor more junior team members and work
collaboratively with Account Managers. Of course strong verbal and written
communication and time management skills are a must.
What we’re
looking for:
• 3+ years experience in an agency environment
or similar
• A tertiary digital development and design
focused qualification
• An impressive portfolio of UX design
• Great HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS skills
• jQuery and Javascript knowledge a bonus
• Web Accessibility experience a bonus (WCAG AA)
• A keen interest in technologies both current and
emerging
• Knowledge of cross-browser quirks and testing
• Experience using CMS systems – please indicate
which in your application
• EDM development and testing experience
• Ability to provide assistance to Account Managers
with project timeline estimates
• Proficiency in the use of the Adobe CC suite with
the ability to layout and design for print and solid
pre press knowledge
• Proficiency in using Sketch software for UX design
• Team player and self-starter
• Attention to detail
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Driven to continuously self-improve and share
knowledge with the team
