Free The Children seeks a dynamic Marketing and Communications Coordinator.

We offer two compensation options on our entry level roles, with a minimum two year commitment required;
• Housing option (available only in Vancouver and Toronto)
• Non- housing option
The housing option compensation offers a base salary of $17,000 / increased to $19,000 per after the three month probationary period, plus shared accommodation is available at no additional cost.
The non-housing option compensation offers a base salary of $19,000, plus TTC metro pass. Upon completion of the three month probationary period, this is raised to $25,000 (plus TTC metro pass)
Upon completion of the three month probation period, all staff members are offered a health plan including dental and medical coverage and are invited to participate in the Employee Assistant Program.

Responsibilities:
• Report to the Manager of Marketing and Communications
• Act as liaison between various departments and individuals
• Ensure brand management of the organizations, and brand consistency between marketing pieces
• Assist Managers of Marketing and Communication in executing strategic communication and marketing plans for the organizations, programs, projects, events and campaigns
• Project manage and coordinate the creation, development and implementation of print and online marketing and communication pieces
• Work with design and creative/content departments to produce marketing and communications materials
• Answer any internal and external requests regarding messaging, images and logos
• Responsible for meeting timelines, monitoring process and ensuring information flow during the creation of all marketing and communication pieces
• Liaising with printers on print projects, as well as working in the back-end system of donation CMS
• Ability to properly estimate and gauge timelines and deliverables of projects
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Communications, Marketing, Journalism and/or a post-secondary education in another field combined with project management skills
• Strong project management skills and a powerful work ethic
• Well organized and able to follow through on multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively across organizations, departments and with multiple contacts
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Able to multitask and prioritize many projects and demands simultaneously
• Able to manage and prioritize varying workloads and working to deadlines
• Self-motivated, creative and a strategic thinker who is willing to take initiative
• Strong attention to detail and a good eye for design
• Basic graphic design skills would be an added advantage, or interest in learning
