Responsibilities:
• Plan and prepare competitive and accurate time estimates for all products to manufacturing operation.
• Learn the company standard time formats and be able to ensure routings are completed in a timely manner.
• The Estimator will work with the Engineers and Project Managers with building routing work-ups.
• Maintain and update standard routing time in the SAP system with updated Engineering drawing and process flow.
• Prepare job routing sheet to Production, Operations and Finance department before start the job.
• Provide updated performance/progress report as required.
• Review and continually improve estimating time processes & procedures for manufacturing site.
• Collate historical data of completed projects and estimations done, including changes in routing, cycle time and actual progress time.
Requirements:
• Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Precision Engineering or equivalent with years working experiences.
• Preferably 3 to 5 years experience in machining industry.
• Able to understand & correctly interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols & procedure specifications.
• Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Computer skills, e.g. knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, cost estimation software and SAP system.
• Excellent mathematical/ analytical skills.
