Farming Company finances and will be based at Santhe in Kasungu District:

Role Purpose
The purpose of this
position is to maintain financial, accounting, administrative and personnel
services in order to meet legislati
ve requirements, and to assist the Farm
Finance and Administration Manager & Director of Finance and Administration
in all the financial management of Tukula Farming Company.
Duties and
Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements and monitor financial systems, ensuring that
finances are maintained in an accurate and timely manner:
Maintain and reconcile the general ledgers on a monthly basis
Ensure that expenses are charged to proper account codes in line with approved
budgets and budget lines
Maintain and reconcile petty cash expenses
Manage Program Advances
Process cash programme/salary advances
Review all the receipts and any documents submitted for liquidation of petty
cash/cash advances and ensure that they are approved before processing in GL
Cash and Bank Management
Monitor petty cash and replenish when the float is low;
Safeguard the petty cash and the bank check books;
Reconcile weekly deposits for all cash received from debtors;
Computerized Accounting System
Post all the accounting transaction into the accounting software system and
maintain the general ledger, cash books, account receivables and payables, bank
reconciliations.
Tax Management
Submit all relevant taxes deducted to the authorities on time;
Deduct necessary withholding taxes on all expenses the deduction of the
withholding taxes is applicable;
Ensure that PAYE is deducted accurately from the payroll.
Required
Qualifications
1.
Minimum of PAEC Diploma. Pursuing ACCA Professional qualification or those with
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
2.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial management and budgeting
3.
Strong hands on experience in financial systems /packages especially Sage
Evolution will be preferred
