Our client is in the Manufacturing Industry, producing construction material. They are urgently looking for an experienced Finance Manager.
Reporting to the MD, the Finance Manager will spearhead the development, planning, implementation and monitoring of financial strategies in line with the overall business strategy.
The position requires a strategic thinker who understands and is involved in all aspects of running the business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Overall responsible for the Finance Department
• Provide leadership and direction in the formulation and implementation of financial management strategies and policies
• Contribute to strategic planning while advising the Senior Management team on financial matters
• Manage the planning, designing and execution of proper accounting systems
• Prepare financial and accounts reports
• Preparation of and ensuring adherence to annual budgets based on work plans
• Ensure integrity in financial and management reporting
• Manage annual audits, including preparation of financial statements
• Monitoring financial expenditure trends and ensure cash flow management
• Accurate preparation of financial statements and overall expenditure of the organization.
Required skills and qualifications:
• Prospective applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or any other related field.
• An MBA will be an added advantage.
• Must be a CPA (K) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years management experience in Financial Management and Accounting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in working with Accounts based computer applications.
• Honesty, confidentiality and integrity.
• Demonstrated high level of maturity and good leadership skills.
• Ability to work within strict deadlines.
• Excellent organizational, planning and analytical skills.
