The Role:
Strategic, tactical and operational, driving a small team responsible for the full planning cycle (inc. annual budgets) monthly/annual statutory reporting P&L and balance sheet, plus detailed business analysis, KPIs and performance monitoring. To provide tight financial control re: WIP/contract performance, margin, mix, price, costing and estimation, as well as proactive treasury and cash management. A dynamic financial management requirement necessitating real-time decision making, ‘what if’ing’, modelling/spreadsheet analysis, as well as M&A due diligence (plus post-acquisition induction).
The Person:
Focused and driven graduate ACA with strong personality and leadership credentials; part hands-on doer, part financial strategist/engineer, with the capability of acting customer-side, the credibility to connect with all members of staff and the acumen to deliver as a full Board member … in essence, a commercial foil to the MD. Previous growth and PE experience would be an advantage, as would be an aptitude for MI and cost-effective IT.
