The Client

Their innovative advertising tools are a favourite with Agencies, Blue Chips and the Public sector clients throughout the UK. Their clients cover areas including leisure, lifestyle, fashion, shopping, entertainment, education, property, financial, travel, business and careers.
The Role
They currently require a Regional Advertising Sales Executive based in Aberdeen to sell their national range of premier media solutions to customers throughout Aberdeen. Working within their sales team, this key role will involve generating significant levels of revenue from a range of key accounts from a mix of media agencies and direct clients. You will be responsible for developing and nurturing established and new relationships with a number of key decision makers and specialist buyers. This will involve listening to briefs, researching clients, establishing campaign criteria and putting together innovative and creative bespoke campaigns that meet client objectives while maximising client expenditure. You will have the support and back up of strong case studies, metrics and marketing information through a powerful media based solution. You will be responsible for taking ownership of advertising campaigns and providing after sales service
The Candidate
To apply ideally will require experience of selling advertising space in a field sales environment from any sector (i.e. radio, newspapers, magazines, outdoor, television, etc). You looking for the opportunity to move into a specialist media sales role within a high profile global media brand. You will have a strong understanding of the media buying principles and decision making drivers, coupled with creativity, drive, motivation and passion to develop business in a competitive market.
Alternatively you will have strong experience and track record of selling any business to business product or service such as office furniture, office supplies, franking machines, IT equipment, IT products, training, telecoms, financial products, digital print services, or a background in recruitment consultancy coupled with experience of selling to the Oil and Gas sector. You will have a solid understanding of the sales process. You will be commercially aware, motivated and enthusiastic. You will have the tenacity to drive sales forward coupled with a real desire to work in the media industry.
You will be PC literate, creative, ambitious, articulate, proactive and quick thinking. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels.
