Fiddlehead
Farm is an eight acre organic market garden based on a 128 acre property in the
north east corner of Prince Edward County.
We are in our fifth year of operation. Garden produce is distributed to
farmers’ markets in Toronto and Belleville, wholesale customers, and our summer
and winter CSA programs.

We
are seeking people to work in the market garden. As farm staff you will work as
part of our Farm Team (Steve, Heather, and four full time field staff) for the
2016 season. You will be involved in a variety of tasks as needed for daily
farm operations; these will include seeding, transplanting, weeding,
harvesting, and irrigation.

are looking for someone with experience market gardening and wage will reflect
incoming experience. This is primarily an in field position intended for
someone with sound knowledge of sustainable/organic farming practices and a
continued interest in working on farms. This is a good position for someone
looking to become more confident in their farming abilities and build on their
skills.

Farm
staff work a set 40-45 hour work week. Workdays will run 8h00-17h00 with an
hour for lunch. Some variation will occur for weather and harvest needs. Longer
days may be required on peak harvest days. There is a standard two days off per
week (Saturday and Sunday) with extra days available within reason.
