1. Transmission Dispatch Expert
• A Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy planning or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of working experience for a dynamic electric utility or in the energy sector.
• Experience in energy sector projects planning, design and development of transmission networks including overhead lines, substations and associated transmission equipment (reactive compensation devices, transformers etc).
2. Chief Drilling Engineer for Geothermal Development
• An university degree in Engineering or related field and or a Master Degree in a related field
• Post graduate training in Geothermal Technology would be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 8 years work experience in drilling and development in high temperature geothermal fields.
• Experience in geothermal exploration, project management and evidence of ability to develop staff.
3. Hydropower Expert
• Incumbent candidate mast hold a post-graduate degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Hydrology engineering, Hydropower engineering, hydro informatics, Electromechanical Engineering or any other related area with emphasis on hydropower planning and
• development.
• Not less than 10 years of experience in hydroelectric power projects planning, design and construction.
• Experience in working with utilities and government institutions in the electricity sector
4. Energy Legal Expert
• A Masters Degree in Law or a relevant related field.
• A minimum of 10 years work experience in legal matters
• in the energy sector.
• Prior work experience in energy in Africa
• Experience in drafting legislation and regulation
• Evidence of experience in drafting and negotiating energy sector agreements such as power purchase agreements, production sharing agreements, concessions, MOUs etc.
• Experience in working with government institutions and the private sector on legal issues relating to the energy sector and energy projects.
• Experience in negotiating regional/multi-country projects is an added advantage
5. International Expert on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency
• University degree (Masters) in a relevant discipline (e.g. in renewable energy, energy efficiency, electrical engineering, finance and economics, applied science, environmental management and engineering will be an advantage but not essential) ;
• A minimum of 10 years of hands on work experience in renewable energy and energy efficiency and capacity development
• Knowledge and experience in conducting financial and economic analysis of energy projects ;
6. Energy Sector Investment Programme Management Expert
• A Masters Degree in Energy Engineering, Energy planning/economics, Energy Management or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years work experience in the energy sector
• Experience in Investment Program Management of energy sector projects
• Evidence of past experience in the energy sector with reference to the activities undertaken
• References of recent employment including contact details of reference persons
• Experience in managing teams and engaging them into the planning process
• Good understanding of the energy sector in Africa and the region in particular
• Experience in regional and trans boundary energy projects is an added advantage
• Ability to work systematically to attain organizational goals, develop strategies and takes account of a wide range of issues that impact the organization.
