Evergreen is seeking a detail-oriented self-starter to fill the role of Data Coordinator. Reporting to the Development Manager, this position supports fundraising staff in the cultivation and stewardship of donors, sponsors and other supporters by managing all aspects of the Raiser’s Edge database and its intersection with our other constituent management systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
Data entry
• Process all revenue payments in the Raiser’s Edge via manual entry and batch imports, generating charitable tax receipts as needed
• Oversee the entry of all other new constituent data
• Set and adhere to schedule for imports into and exports from Raiser’s Edge for online donations, newsletter subscriptions, ticket sales, event invitee lists, etc.
Database integrity
• Develop protocol for data storage in the Raiser’s Edge
• Extract data through queries and reports for prospect management, solicitation, donor stewardship, event planning and other fundraising purposes (i.e., list management)
• Maintain database integrity by ensuring data accuracy
• Regularly analyze data and identify ways of segmenting, updating and streamlining
• Ensure clear and concise coding in Raiser’s Edge data fields
• Document database changes and maintain a current database user manual
• Manage all training and database maintenance
Systems alignment
• Identify and lead opportunities to align Raiser’s Edge with Evergreen’s other constituent databases (Blue State Digital, Salesforce and Accpac), requiring data mapping and data analysis
• Advocate for the use of Raiser’s Edge in all aspects of Evergreen’s operations — charitable support, earned revenue, events, program participants, etc.
• Investigate additional modules and software packages to complement current database(s)
You have/are:
• A post-secondary degree/diploma
• Minimum three years’ experience using the Raiser’s Edge at an advanced level
• Familiarity with other database systems, such as Salesforce
• Familiarity with Crystal Reports an asset
• Interest in and ability to learn new technologies and procedures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand and interpret user needs
• Knowledge of the moves management system of fundraising and the principles of good donor stewardship
